This volume based on an international and interdisciplinary conference in 2014 provides an assessment of the developments after the upheavals in the Southern Mediterranean with regard to the challenges for the European Foreign and Security Policy. Furthermore, the volume incorporates the view of the eminent regional actors Turkey and Israel and explains their responses towards the regional developments. With contributions by: Steffen Angenendt, Maximilian Benner, Dustin Dehez, Çagri Erhan, Burak Küntay, Baran Kusoglu, Amichai Magen, Piril Ocak, Sharon Pardo, Silvia Popp, Alessandro Quarenghi, Stephan Roll, Julia Simon und Jan ?naidauf.
