It is 1941. Britain is alone, running out of money and the battles in the Atlantic and Middle East are going badly. The Government's hope is that the USA will finance them and that the Germans will turn to fight their natural enemies in Soviet Russia. Von Buezow, a German General Staff officer has a plan to force a change of Government in Britain that will then seek an Armistice. Boylan, an Irish Free State officer wants vengeance and a United Ireland. The British Empire is a ramshackle affair, in debt and poorly defended, but a foundation myth of Great Britain... Can a chance of preserving the Empire bring about the fall of Churchill?
